VFIRST5 KERN First 5 Kern announces Request for Proposals Beginning June 24, 2019, First 5 Kern will be seeking proposals from organizations interested in providing services to children ages prenatal to five and their families living in Kern County The Commission will fund individual programs using the following criteria: Applicants are encouraged to submit a Letter of Intent by July 12, 2019, indicating interest in the RFP Programs must target one or more of three major focus areas described in the Strategic Plan: * Health and Wellness Parent Education and Support Services Early Childcare and Education All applicants must demonstrate effort in the fourth focus area Integration of Services Programs must serve children ages prenatal to five and their families Programs must serve Kern County residents and have an office in Kern County Only established programs are eligible. No start-up programs or capital projects.
