We spend 1.8 billion dollars a year to cut back trees around powerlines, only to have them grow back, forcing us to do it all over again. Burying powerlines, as we've been doing in high fire risk and surrounding areas, is actually cheaper in the long run. Not only can we eliminate tree trimming, but lines underground require less maintenance. Please understand not a day goes by that we're not tackling the price issue. We're working with customer advocates who scrutinize every dollar we spend, and we'd like to keep hearing directly from you as well.
