Hi my name is Carlo Acevedo I am running for Tehachapi Unified School District Board Member for area 7. I have spent 11 years in the Army with couple of training deployments around the globe and a 13 month tour to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005 as an Infantryman. I am also a Retired Correctional Officer for the State of California for 12 years. I have 23 years with State and Federal Government. I have lived here in the beautiful Tehachapi area for over 12 years now. I have 2 beautiful children that attend school, a 15 year daughter and an 8 year son that is on the spectrum. The reason that I am running school board is that I want to be a voice for the parents and for their children. I will be that person that holds the school district accountable for their actions. I will show up to all the school board meetings and their entirety. I will be a voice for the Special Education Students and recognize that it’s time for our children to shine in this area like having field trips and other exciting needs for our children, parents and staff.
